Wont start.
First of all thak god for sights like this. Now on to my proble, I have a1991 RS Camaro, I was driving to work and the car just died on me ,half a tank of gas and late for work. After replacing the battery, coil , ignition module, i still cant get any spark. ant help would be greatly appriciated so that i can get my blu babe back on the road and blow right by them fords.
are you getting power to your coil/dist.? get a meter or test light and with the ingition on make sure there is power going to the battery side of the coil... if no power i would start looking back into your wiring(fuses, ignition switch ect.)
if you are getting power to the coil/dist. I would check the dist itself. there is a pickup on the distrubitor that sends a signal to the Control modual and tells it when to fire the coil. if this pickup is bad it never tells the controll modual to fire. I believe the pickup on that car is only like 20 bucks. a shop manual should tell you how to check it (but i believe as the distrubitor shaft turns it "trips" causing continuty between the two leads coming off of the pickup itself.) Again I would check with a shop manual on how to check that as im not 100% sure about it.
