Just picked up a 2005 equinox and its got issues lol all the unlock buttons work and you can hear them actuate but if you hit the unlock then nothing happens.. No sound or anything. However when putting it into gear... It still locks all doors. The key fob is completely dead even when i replaced the battery so thats not an option to try yet. Any ideas?

 

So, to clarify, the lock/unlock buttons on the front doors work but none of the buttons on the remote work? Does the panic button on the remote work?

So far it sounds like you might have a blown fuse somewhere.

 

Sorry yeah to clarify. The lock/unlock buttons inside the car will only unlock and will not lock the vehicle. The remote start fob does absolutely nothing

 

Ive also checked the obvious fuse and that doesnt appear to be it. However with the fact that they still unlock it leans me towards a wire or something that feeds the whole unlock circuit since they both dont work
