1983 caprice
So this is my first car and I like it but is like to improve it and improve my automotive skills while doing so (never really got into mechanics in school my teacher sucked). I was hoping someone could make suggestions on making it a good looking and sounding car. Any suggestions are welcome if u need some info on it I can try to answer (like I said I not huge in mechanics.

Hey I've got an '83 Caprice Classic with a 305 cu. in. too. all original (including paint unfortunately) minus A/C; Alternator; Brake pads; and rear shocks. I'm also looking to upgrade most of the orignal parts. We should share ideas some time. Especially if you're building a mix between show and speed!

Wheels and tires will make the biggest difference. Check CL, and be patient, you'll come across a sweet set for cheap.
Impala SS suspension parts fit the older B body's too, front and rear sway bars, with nice shocks (KYB, Bilstien, Monroe Severe Service) make a huge difference in how it will ride and drive.
For some more power that's quick, easy, and cheap, try a cooler thermostat(160*-175*), and advancing the base ignition timing a few degrees.
Flip the air cleaner top over, and it will sound faster.... Everyone has done that at least once in their lives.
