I read varying reports that typically the oil gauges run a little high anyway all the way to it should be dead center. Can anybody give me a little clarification on this? Also, if it's running three quarters to all the way right, how can that affect the car? Can it cause damage? Will affect the way it runs? Thank you in advance.

 

Try a mechanical oil pressure gauge to see if this an accurate reading.
