I am getting my 350 rebuilt and I need help on which rebuild kit should I purchase?

What is ground zero when rebuilding a engine as far as selection of parts? Do I start with the heads?

ground zero is when the motor is out of the car totally disassembled. Then you send it out to check for cracks and such as you pick out a new crank.

But seriously what do you want to do? You want a torque monster for towing? Or something that can run 1/4 mile in stupendous time?
