I have a 2014 Captiva that threw the time chain and the interference design took care of destroying the valves, etc... so the motor is junk. I am on the hunt for a replacement 2.4l for the car and my question is knowing that the 2.4l was used in many other GM models would it be possible if I got one out of a Lacrosse, Malibu, Equinox, etc and swapped hardware would that engine work in my Captiva?
