Issues with injector circuits!!
I’ll try to make this short and sweet.
We got my wife a 2012 captiva since we had a new addition to the family.
timing chain and guides were replaced.
both actuators were replaced when we got the car
here recently I have been chasing this “injector 3 circuit open” issue.
about three weeks ago I pulled the fuel rail out. Went ahead and replaced #3 injector.
cleaned out the others. Reinstalled
also did four new spark plugs.
everything has been working fine until I drove it a little hard the other day. Service stabilitrak etc etc came on. Engine light flashing. Hooked my scanner back up and saw the injector 3 circuit code pop back up.
I have tried and tried and tried with this vehicle and tired of throwing parts at it.
ive read that it could possibly be a ground related issue.
when I pulled the entire fuel rail off I checked all plugs, checked all wires and checked for continuity.
I am completely lost here. And starting to wish we never got this car after everything I’ve read about them.
any help is appreciates

A little side note,
Checking wires and connections using resistance is not the best way to check them.
If one strand of wire is working it will read 0 resistance,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but will not carry the required current to ensure the component will work correctly.
If you are going to use a meter ,the better way is to do voltage drop testing. It may seem a little complicated, but there are several videos demonstrating the correct procedure.
