Sun roof fire
My 2015 captive has been very good to until yesterday, when, while parked, the sunroof motor starting to smolder and melted the sunroof rubber seal in left front corner, where apparently the SR motor is.
It not only melted the seal, stopping work so no open/close--was closed at the time-.but also torched the interior head liner over the drive seat and melted window visor and the had grab at left above the driver seat..
Hand driven prox. 20 miles, parked the car & went to do some work & returned to the car to retrieve some items, prox. 30 minutes later. When returned smoke filled inside the of car and was pouring out the top corner of the sunroof.
Still had the car handbook in the car and for what seemed like a long time thumb thru it to find the elect fuse panel & the fuse for the sunroof.
Luckily had needle nose plies found tiny fuse pulled out & stop the fire in the sunroof. will supply photos later.
