Hello all, I am a first time poster on this forum. I hope someone can help! I just finish an engine install in my son's 1999 cavalier with 4 spd auto trans. It won't go in to park with the console shifter. I bought the "official" GM service manual and a Haynes manual for help. They both say to put the shifter to neutral and to manually rotate the shift arm on the trans to neutral. Then "push the tab on the cable adjuster in order to adjust the cable in the cable mounting bracket". I can not find a tab or anything that looks like one on the cable assembly. Of course both manuals do not show an illustration so I could use some help.

it will either be at where the shift cable connects to the trans or at the base of the shifter
