Default 2002 Chevy Cavalier A/C not working

2002 cavalier LS 2.2L automatic
the air conditioner is not working. i have taken the cover off the relay and manually closed it which causes the compressor to kick on and ice cold air to blow. i have swapped relays but the same issue occurs.

How can you know the pressures are good unless you test them?

Yes i agree. That is how we found out it was not working, I personally didn't check them because I don't know how but a family member who does minor service and has the equipment is the one who said everything was reading correctly.

best bet if you have access to a machine is to recover the system...they you know with 100% accuracy the charge level....looking at pressures on a guage isn't the best method
