92 6 cyl cavalier coolant leak
My 92 6cyl 3.1LT cavalier has a coolant leak on the back side (drivers side) of the engine under the air intake. Coolant pools around the plug where the distributor on older modles used to be. There is one metal pipe that connects by aU shaped bracket to what looks like part of the intake manifold is about 8 inches long and reconnects to a rubber coolant hose, that I suspect to be the culprit. The only other thing I believe it can be is the lower intake manifold gasket? It is nearly impossible to seeexactly where the leak is coming from, but this is the general area. Has anyone had experience with this type of leak on the 6 cyl model and know the common causes before I start tearing it apart?
Thanks

I have seen the leak to be the hoses on some, throttle body gaskets on some, while others were he intake itself. You'll have to putsome pressure on the system to see where its coming from

RE: 92 6 cyl cavalier coolant leak
FYI it was the snap on fitting that attaches below the thermistat housing that connects to the heater hose. A real pain to see where the leak was coming from and even more of a pain to replace (4hrs)as the fitting in the housing corrodes and breaks All fixed up now.
