Help damsal in distress here. I have a 94 Cavaliar, keys is stuck in the ignition,steering won't lock, to release key,engine cranks but car won't start,how do i get the key out? I even tried to spray some wd-40 on the ignition , it didn't help.

Is my car, not starting have something to do with the key being stuck in the ignition?

 

help!!! my 16 year old son pullled my car out of the garage and shut the car off, when i came out the steering wasn't locked as it usually does when the car is off. I tried starting the car and it would crank, but it wouldn't start. I can't release the key.Does the key being stuck have something to do with the car not starting? How do I get the key to release? He did put it in the ignition correctly.

I have the same problem on my 94. I think it may be the ignition switch.
