My bad. I was going to say right side of the engine (with the front of the engine being where the pulleys are) but I thought that could be taken wrong. Your "firewall side" is correct.

fantastic! i was beginning to wonder if id ever find it. now weather permitting and since i have the new part i should have it installed this weekend. from what ive seen im thinkn the only way to do this is to remove the intake manifold so i can see what im doing down there. will this one part truly cause the symptoms i have described to you? i am really hoping so

Put it on a ramp or jack stands and get to it from below? It's actually on the passenger side (see updated image in my post #9). What I had before (KS on the driver side) was for 2.4L. As for P0325, it could be the sensor or wiring (actually a single wire that goes to PCM connector C3, terminal 27.
