A buddy of mine has a 1994 Z24 Convertible, and the exhaust muffler has rusted so badly that it fell off last week.

He's looking to replace it with something louder than stock, but doesn't want the ricer sound - he wants to lean more towards a muscle car sound.

Suggestions?

 

I don't know about "muscle car" sound out of a 4 banger, but in my experience you may want to just straight pipe it into a new muffler w/o a cat... Seemed to work well on my truck and that's probably what I will do on my z24 when the exhaust rusts out on me too.
