i have a 97 cavalier 2.2 two door. it has a automatic in it now, but im wanting to put a five speed in it. the mechanical part is easy but i was wondering will the instrument panel work in it since it doesn't have a rpm guage and will there be any electrical issues in the swap? thanks

 

For this to work you would need an engine wiring harness and the computer out of a five speed. With the autos, there is no rpm gauge like you said but also no way to plug them into the harness. Also the computers in the autos will not recognize the 5 speed or the needs of the rpm gauge which could cause some electrical problems.
