Default Cavalier Ticking

Hello, I have a 2001 Cavalier 2.2 131,000 mi, it's making a semi-loud ticking sound that can be heard from both sides o the vehicle, but becomes more apparent when you put your ear next to the alternator. I figure it's probably time for a new timing chain but was wondering if anything else might cause this? It can be heard when driving, but it is faint, and does not get louder with speed or higher idle. The vehicle idles fine around 850-900 RPM and stays smooth.

Fuel injector?

Spark issue?

I'm going to guess you shouldn't worry about it. Turn the radio up louder.
