You usually drain trans fluid by just removing the pan. There isnt a drain plug.

I thought the only transmission with a pan was an automatic tranny. There should be a plug to check the fluid and a plug to drain the manual transmission. New manual trannys have a range of oil from 90 weight gear oil to ATF. Some use motor oil. Check your manual to see which oil your tranny has. It will also tell you when it should be changed.

i have a haynes manual, but it is quite vague and has no indication of where the plug is. i may have an idea where it is but its position is about 4-5 inches above the bottom of the transaxle and wouldn't drain completely unless it was pumped out or something.
