Default Dim headlights

Hello Everyone,

I'm looking for help with a headlight issue. I have a 2003 Cavalier and both headlights are very dim on high or low beam. Neither one seems brighter than the other. I have put in "brighter" bulbs with no difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks guys. The lens are ok. I polished them recently because they were quite cloudy. As far as checking the ground circuit, are there certain color wires I should check? I'm reasonably mechanical but not that adept with electrical. Thanks again for the help.

Look at ALL the wires near the battery. I believe there is a ground under the battery.

Take a voltmeter and measure the voltage between the ground of headlight bulb and battery negative terminal - while the headlight is on of course. If it measures more than 0.1 V you have a ground problem.
