Need to siphon gas from fuel tank to drop it to insert new fuel pump? I tried pushing down 3/8" hose to hand-pump out gas but there's a block; can't reach gas.

I thought gas blocks were only for older cars? But for an 89? Is there anyway past the gas block screen?

 

May not have a screen, but fill tube as to keep it from being siphoned. Take your gas can down to the gas station, and use that.

 

can I access my electric fuel pump by removing the rear seat of my coup? One ol' crusty mechanic vet suggested I could but he obviously had had more than one Rolling Rock.

Was he telling me the truth?
