Hi everyone
i have a 2002 cavalier, recently i got my mechanic to install 2 kyb gr2 struts on the front, there was too much space between the strut and the strut mount once installed vs the oem strut causing a popping when the car was rocked, (a little over 1/4" of space) he made spacers with washers and everything appears tight, the problem i am having is when i go over small bumps i still hear a small amount of popping coming from what sounds like the top of the strut at the mount, could anyone tell me how i could remedy this? Or what this could be? thanks

Are you sure he installed the correct strut for your Cavalier? If you want to go that route, he probably needs to add more spacers. The correct strut would be a better option.
