new guy with a few questions

im looking at getting a 98 cavalier z24 5spd off a co worker for $500. it has an oil leak and it looks like its getting sprayed up onto the belt and alt. is there a oil cooler in the rad? where else could it be coming from? any info or pictures and diagrams would be great. thank you.

maybe front crank seal but hard to say without seeing it

If it is an automatic transmission then there is an oil cooler in the tranny. Clean the engine off as good as you can. Start it up and look to see where it is coming from. Use a good flashlight.

Think you mean in the radiator.
