No power when key turned on
I have a 2004 Cavalier 2.2 eco. I had starter problems as I was removing it I broke one of the posts so I had to replace no matter what. When I did I only got a clicking noise. A few days later I checked all connections and replaced the purple wire connector to the starter at ignition post the small one. I tried to start again but no power whatsoever. I attached my trickle charger and showed 80% power & I verified the charger worked by checking my other vehicle.
I checked all the positive and negative cable points and cleaned them. Any suggestions what might be happening?

I hooked up jumper cables from our F350 to the Cavalier. The lights, radio, etc came one. I attempted to start but it didn't turn over. I got a new battery and I attempted to start the car but it was making a turning/swooshing sound the same sound before it starts to turn over. Also when I turned the key on but not to start I think I heard the fuel pump running/powr up. I then took off the eco 2.2 plastic plate with ths spark plugs and the relay unit. I cleaned off the electical connections and applied some Di-Electric grease. I replaced the plugs as they were a bit burnt and two of the plugs were worn down. I put everything back together and I'm back at turn the key no lights, radio, dash, or anything on. What else may it be?
