Parking Brake cable issues
This is my first post and I need some help
I replaced the parking brake cable on my daughters car, 2003 Cavalier 4cyl, seamed pretty straight forward. Now when I pull the parking brake handle it "self adjusts" the rear brakes. After 2 or 3 applications the brakes are locked. If I release the parking brake and go under the car and pull the cable the brakes are free until the first application. I have not messed with the brakes, they were fine before the original cable broke, I am pulling what little hair I have out
Thanks for any input

sometimes the lever pivots located on the rear shoes seize up. the system will apply but the spring pressure of the cables isn't strong enough to release it. Pull the drums off and inspect/free up the lever pivots.
