Default sticky throttle

I have a 99 cavalier 4 dr with the 2.2 and 4 speed auto trans. recently I have put new plug wires , and replaced the water pump. Now the throttle has stuck a couple of times, what can I do to fix this problem? My wife is going to have my hide if I don't fix this.

Try to clean the throttle body with carb cleaner and a tooth brush. BG make a product specifically for that, it lubricates as it cleans. You maybe able to find something similar in the store. You could go to BG products website and find some where to get it.

Thank you very much for the common sense advise. I cleaned the throttle body, just so happens I had some throttle body cleaner, so far so good.
