Default 65 Chevelle SS 283 overheating

This is a stock 65 Chevelle with 43K miles, 283 cu in and power-glide tranmission. At highway speeds 70 - 75 MPH, temperture reads 200-205. I've installed new radiator, fan, fan clutch, cap, hoses, thermostat, and waterpump. No water leaks I'm aware of. Seems to me this is too high for a stock engine. Any help appriciated. Thanks.

that's about a normal operating temp. ur prolly turning a pretty descent rpm with that 2 speed right? if u wanted to lower it some u couldinstall a colder temp. thermostat.

John, your right. The power glide is a two speed and it does sound like it's reving pretty high. The thermostat is a 160 Degree. Thanks.
