Hi,
First let me say Hello to everyone, I am new to this forum.
I own a 1972 el camino it has a rebuilt 350 in it.
I had my radiator flushed a week ago and ever since then if I take it on long hauls(40-60 min drive) it will dump coolant from the little hose next to the cap! This hasnrt happened to me b4, My mechanic says it might be cause Im using Royal purple synthetic oil, and he says the oil runs very hot, I do not think this is the case, we have changed radiator cap, and I am waiting to see what happens.
any Ideas out there?

the cap is a good place to start... another idea is maybe when they flushed the radiator there may have been an air pocket trapped in the cooling system causing a hot spot thus the puking of coolant... does the car have a radiator overflow tank or does the tube just dump to the ground? and as far as the oil... i have ran darn near every kind of oil there is in my race car and the oil that had the lowest temp was mobile 1 synthetic so I'm pretty sure it isn't your oil causing the problem... more like the mechanic is gabbing at straws

 

Thank you so much for your reply, We changed the cap and today I drove my car alot and hauled a quad on it and nothing!!!! SWEET!
It just has a hose it does not have a tray it dumps it into.
