Ive Been Putting together a 350 which is all new parts which include block complete then with aluminum heads with roller cam and lifters.& quart oil pan with matching pump .to make a long story short , when i tried to prime oil with correct tool and electric drill i notice i dont get oil thru lifters to rockers. I have great oil pressure so pump is working.appears to be getting everywhere else just not thru rockers. I would hate to try and start engine if this isnt going to get oil for some reason. thought maybe engine needs to turn over to work lifters and cam shaft but also thought primer would work. Any thoughts on this.

 

Not totally clear. No oil to the rocker arms? Prime pump, after the pump is primed have you cranked it over? Upper lubrication comes from the pushrod via lifters, the lifters when the cam eccentric "compresses it" pushes the oil thru the pushrod.
