Default Running Rough Question

It’s a 68 Chevelle with a SB350. QuadraJet carb. It struggles ‘under load’. Starts right up idles smoothly.

1) cylinder 8 header reaches max temp of about 220 degrees all else 500 plus
2) cylinder 8 has compression of 140 vs 150 on all others

I’ve changed plugs, cap, rotor, wires.

I’ve pulled the valve cover and rockers / arms look fine.

im down to the carb.

Any other ideas? Please help so frustrated!

"struggles under load". As in not getting enough gas? If you hammer the throttle wide open, does it stall?
