Default Trying to identify piece found in transmission oil pan - TH-350.

Hi all, my first post to the forum, I have a 84 El Camino with a 305 and a TH-350. I'm replacing my torque converter after it sheared the fly wheel bolts.

When I dropped the transmission pan I found three bolts and and the piece of metal pictured below in the pan. Really hoping someone can identify it. The transmission was working before the bolts went, fingers crossed it's not toast. Thanks.

It kinda looks like that metal plate that reinforces the separator plate in the area where the valve body doesn't cover. however, it would be larger and have several bolt holes.
