I bought a ‘70 c10 last year. I’m slowly fixing thing to get it roadworthy again but I found a broken ear on the block where the starter bolts up. I found a starter bracket (for late ‘50s model V8s and a starter with three holes on the aft end (instead of vertical like the regular SBC starters. The bracket mates up between the block and the transmission. Does anyone know if this will work? It seems like a better idea than scrapping the block.
