How to Unlock a Radio

I just got a radio from a friend and I hooked it all up and it saying its locked is there anyway to unlock it???

it a factory one not sure exactly what year has to be 2007-2009

i think you just have to call your local dealer and they usually give you a code to put it.. at least that's what i did when i had my acura back in the day.
