Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

Default XM Radio Unlock with out buying anything?

Hi, i'm sure the answer to this question is already on this website... but there are so many threads (some old) about unlocking the Nav and XM radio that it becomes hard to weed through.

I know coastaltech offers an unlock device for all of these, but I'm curioius... is there anyway to just unlock the XM so I can scroll all the channels while driving? Surely there is an easy way to do this without buying anything. I just purchased this car, and I've never heard of the radio being locked while drive... what's next, locking the AC/Heat!

Thanks!!!

If I read your post correctly you are saying you are locked out of scrolling thru the radio channels while driving?
Seems the steering wheel controls should work while driving that is why they are there...

Default unlocks

speaking of 'unlocks' why can't we get free traffic? most GPS have it free, why does this involve paying more for XMs version?

Newkbomb: Welcome to the forum.

I think his question is how to unlock some of the grayed out XM features when moving w/o using a Lockpick.

I believe if you have not activated XM all you can do is preview XM on one channel.
