Cobalt This sporty compact was faced with the difficult job of replacing the popular Cavalier, but whether the base model, or the supercharged SS is chosen, is has made for a great replacement.

Default Traction control or transmission

Hey everyone! So I bought my wife an 06 Cobalt,it's just a base model,2.2 eco tec engine, just something for her to beat around town in,it runs great, but some days it acts like there's not enough fluid in the tranny,it revs to about 3/4thousand Rpm's then the tranny catches the car moves. I've already put fluid in it,checked for leaks, there's none. I've heard it could be the traction control sensor, then I've also been told the tranny is a belt driven transmission and the belt stretches after a while. The car mostly acts up when taking off from a dead stop and situations where your slowing down then accelerating. Is there anything I can do to tell which it is? If it's the sensor it'll get replaced,if I definitely find it's the tranny, then she can drive it as is till it blows up or rusts away. I'm just really tired of hearing the wife complain about it so PLEASE HELP!
