I’ve tried removing the card, cleaning its contacts, etc., but to no avail.
In the rare instance that it works, it only does so intermittently, as it won't upon a subsequent start up.
Why did an over the air update have to ruin our systems? Anyone able to fix / resolve?
Don’t want to take the truck to the dealer, be without alternate transportation and have the dealer either scratch, dent or otherwise damage or steal something.
Upsetting failure on GM’s part to push out defective software. Really upsetting.
Please advise if anyone has any GM contacts I can discuss this with for proper, prompt resolution.
I Imagine another update needs to be pushed out to the truck get it working again.
No worries. GM has no clue what is going on. As I mentioned in my rent they have replaced the radio 5 times, 2 new SD cards, new card reader. I have owned the truck for 9 months and it’s been in the shop 18-19 times. This includes scheduled service (issues) and me driving the truck to the shop to have it scanned for codes. The third party service people in Ontario Canada are called York They are the ones that replace the radio. My radio also cuts out and stops working. Problems with Bluetooth as well. I lodged a complaint with GM Canada customer service 2 months ago. Haven’t used my GPS on a regular basis since new. 2 months ago they said they were putting in a new data cable. Haven’t seen it. 3 weeks ago I was told a new high gain antenna was to be installed. Haven’t seen it. Last week I was told that 2 modules for the radio would be installed. Haven’t seen or heard back. I asked why this wasn’t done during any of my 5 radio changes no reply. Engineers in Michigan are supposibly looking into it. Bull ****. 9 months no change,no solutions, and I am in the dark. I have asked for a new truck. GM Canada hasn’t said no but want to try all this other stuff. No matter what I have demanded compensation and they understand that they will be giving me some sort of compensation. No fixes, no idea what they are doing. The dealership has been great. GM Canada is the problem. I will never buy a GM again!! Hope you fair better than me.

Corporate had me bring the truck in to a dealer for a software update; Version 807, which they state will be released as an over the air update in January.
They stated they were absolutely confident that this would solve the problem, as the software was created to solve this particular problem.
Well… guess what… the problem remains!
Beyond upsetting that after all this time, and the assurances provided, that there’s no resolution in sight!
Anyone else have any news to report?
Anyone find resolution? If so, how?
What has corporate / your dealers been telling you?
After updating to 807 and replacing the SD Card and card receptacle, GM now wants to replace the radio control module, which requires two visits, one where they need to get the number off the current unit and another to replace same.
I want them to go to back to 509, the last known working version which had no problem at all.
Has anyone been successful in getting a dealer to go back to an earlier software version?
Any other updates anyone? Please provide the latest status.
