Manual gearbox problem
Good morning,
I own a Cruze LTZ+ diesel manual transmission 163 hp from July 2012.
Until Friday evening no problem.
When I get home, I close the gate and go to park.
I notice a smell in the cabin and the gear lever all the way to the right without being able to return it to neutral.
For a few seconds thinking I had shifted into gear I must have slipped the clutch in 5th or 6th.
I restart the car and by gently disengaging I notice that a gear is engaged (5th or 6th) because the vehicle tries to move forward but immediately stalls (normal)
Unable to return gear lever to neutral.
In fact, I can only move it forwards and backwards. The lever slides well but with a rubbing noise.
The clutch pedal responds well.
Some time ago I noticed that when I pressed the gear **** there was a play of a few millimeters with a clicking sound.
I could wind it up and if I pressed it again there was the same little click at the pommel.
Since my breakdown it no longer does so.
If anyone has an idea because I don't want to be taken to the garage I don't know where and therefore scrap it.
