Not happy with MY Cruz
According to KBB the overall customer satisfaction rating for the 2012 Cruz is 8.6 out of 10...Kelley Blue Book
There are a lot of positive reviews for the vehicle... More often then not however, folks come to forums to find help resolving issues and rarely come to tout how great a vehicle is...
All manufactures have issues, some more then others...

Wonder what the rating is for the 2011 Cruze? Worst car-and worst customer service I've ever seen from GM. My gem has 12,000 km on it-and transmission has reverted to the way it was. Service answer"can't duplicate problem"...but the service tech. who took it for a drive with me(he drove) agreed that there was a problem. This car is selling in this city (most with under 10,000 km) for 1/3 of the initial price. Last GM-and last vehicle from Murray's GM in Moose Jaw,Sk. Canada! (and thanks for nothing-GM Canada customer service rep Lori-I won't buy an old Cobalt like you suggested!)
Interesting......23,055 Chevy Cruzes were sold just last month....May 2013.
Second only to GM's trucks....sounds like solid product to me.
The vast majority on Cruze owners are extremely happy

I wish GM would look into these problems and fix them. They are losing a lot of first time and loyal customers to other brands. I had a 2013 Cruze and experienced 1. poor braking when trying to stop at higher speeds. Maybe because I had drums in rear. Car front end would shimmy, wobble, and create a drumming noise. Then the traction light would go on. I brought it in and they said it was a misfire in a cylinder and to use good branded gas. 2. Loud noise coming from engine when at low rpms and trying to accelerate. Sounded like an import car with those loud mufflers. 3. Then the worst of it was when outside temp is at 90+, and engine is driven for at least an hour in traffic and a/c on, car hesitates from stop for about 2 seconds and half of the time it dies. That was very stressful and dangerous. I bought the car in Nov so temp was cooler, but when it hit the summer months in city traffic that when the problem starts. Engine light does not come on. Dealership could not duplicate problem. An employee there who owns a Cruze said he has the same problem and GM does not have a remedy for it. An employee in service said that she has had other people bring it in for this problem. As long you drive it in temp below 90, not use the a/c and not drive it hard it will be okay. The good things about this car are it's looks, short turning radius, and easy to drive in city and on highways. I want others to know of these problems before deciding to purchase this car and until GM can correct it.

Just recently i had serviced my chevrolet cruze, & the staff there said that i had to replace my rear breaks, coz it got some problems. I wonder how the problem got in, its just some month passed on my new cruze & also the thread on my tire has been wear out a bit. Its just covered 20,000 kms. The main concern is that Chevy is really a great car, but they use some cheap parts, such as those wheels Kumho Solus (Korean). But overall its a great car & drives much better than its rivals such as corolla. Feels Solid on Highways. Heavy & Strong.

Guess you live in a better world than I do. 1. Have always bought North American made (over 45 years) have never complained before...EVER. 2. A defect I could live with-multiple ones in one vehicle not acceptable. 3. Multiple trips back to dealer..was shown how to shift an automatic as a cure for the lousy transmission. 4. Asked GM Canada customer service for help-got me nowhere. 5.Went to this site for suggestions-got no help, lots of insults (including being told to get off of my fat a--,remember? Outcome is-stuck with a car that is branded as a repair nightmare in consumer reports and lemon-aid,not reliable-and I have all of 12,000 km. on it. Lots of 2011's for sale here-most with a very low mileage. Waiting for the next break down.
On January 31st, with 13,300 miles on my Cruze, the car was gone and replaced with a 2013 Buick Verano turbo! All NO thanks to GM! Love the Verano. Five months old and NO problems! Night and day comparison to the Cruze. GM will NEVER admit that the 2011 tranny was CRAP! IF it was indeed operating as designed, WHY did they change things for the 2012/2013 models?
Just to make sure new people here do not get misleading information....
The Transmission(Auto) is exactly the same for all 2011-2013 Cruze models and Buick Verano's.
There is a software update available at dealerships for 2011 Cruze owners free of charge to address shifting issues for the very small amount affected.

As of January 31, 2013 ANY software updates that were available were done to my 2011 Cruze with NO change! Unless there is a new update after that date, the update will do NOTHING to change the shifting problem.
Stop yelling....Caps lock means your yelling
