Just personal experience, my wife and I love our cruze, only problems have been the recall and a blown fuse for the BBVP... It gets 38-41 mpg on average..

Now, people say they should have tested more, well, the cruze was originally introduced in 1999 as a concept built off the Suzuki swift. And it replaced the cobalt and G5. Now GM would not phase out 2 vehicles unless it felt that the new one would perform better than its predecessor. Which the cruze does. This thread represents the >5% that does not appreciate the cruze... I'm sorry, but yall are just building a negative argument off of an already negative attitude... I'm sorry that you can't be happy with an amazing product. So go ahead trade you cruze for that Toyota, or that cheap copy of some other manufacturer(Ford) which will have the exact same problems and be just as frustrating unless you get an attitude change. And I have gotten GM lemons before. But that's all it was a lemon. I have a 96 s10 4cyl 5 speed which was my first brand new dealer bought vehicle. It lasted 15 years and 435,000 miles and an 89 3/4 ton suburban which has 490,000 and is still my daily driver. And my wifes 2011 1.4l cruze which has 55,000 on it running fine with no issues. So if GM is just a horrible manufacturer then how are we able to put such high mileage on them with no more than oil changes? It's the consumers fault their dissatisfied, not GMs

^ This right here says it all.

And in my opinion, the minority needs to stop pretending they are the majority, it got old a long time ago.

Well my point of view its "People Prosecuting the company for the user error"

Either way, there is a difference between the OP complaining instead of trying to get help in fixing anything.

If the OP came here with a more positive attitude there would be less flaming all over and more helping.

-------------------------------------------

But like the other person said above, this represents less than 5% (>5%) of people who own the Cruze and are complaining about every little thing they can, if that...
The other 95% and up are just fine, so GM is not at fault because its not a bad car or design.

-------------------------------------------

The issue I'm seeing is just because OP and a few others might have any issues is that they are making it like they are all bad, when that is obviously not the case.

And then they threaten to go buy a cheaper vehicle like a Toyota or whatever simply because they feel the need to stick it to GM because they feel like GM stuck it to them.
When this is not the case, they most likely created most of their own problems, and probably are being taken by a bad mechanic or something, sabotaging their vehicle so they come back to spend more money, don't think that does not happen, because it does.

-------------------------------------------

And just because I come here trying to tell how it is, and explain the real reasoning as to most of the users issues, people come back trying to say like I'm a GM fan-boy, GM employee, or something.
I'm just telling basic truth, I'm not a GM fan-boy, I personally dislike the Cruz because its not my style, and I do not work for GM in any way shape or form; so please grow up and stop with the childish insults.

-------------------------------------------

As far as I am concerned, this thread is useless and should be ended simply because it is a flame fest and not productive, The OP seems more concerned with bashing the Cruz than getting her problems solved.

This thread sucks now especially for people surfing and all of the sudden they see this very misleading Thread title.

Moderators,do something....at least edit the title to something like,

"I am not happy with MY Cruz".....LOL

Better yet delete the entire thing

I messaged a couple mods suggesting the thread be closed at one point because of the way it was...
I dont know if its at that extreme to close it, but I'm thinking if it keeps going in circles and not being productive, I might suggest it again...

I'm glad to help a user with their car, but when they come here like this and me and others tell them reasonalbe explnations for things and try to help, they act like we are all wrong and try to cause arguments with their asumptions in my opinion.
