Default Trunk will latch, but won't lock.

I have a 2017 LT/RS. My wife has the car out of state and now tells me the trunk won't lock when she locks all the doors with the FOB. It will auto open with the interior button and open with the exterior trunk lid button, it just won't lock. It latches and stays closed (so far). I can't find anyone else discussing this on other forums or google. I'm thinking it is the lid button, but the fact that it latches and opens with the button has me stumped. I hope this is posted in the right place, i'm not too good with this forum stuff.

I've had issues with the trunk on my Bu'. The trick is to keep pressing the trunk lid button, then slam that b****t shut.

The issue is solved. The trunk sensor too unlock the trunk is activated automatically anytime the FOB is within a certain distance, so that you don't have to pull out the FOB if it is in your pocket or purse. It will lock again automatically once the FOB is moved away from the vehicle. Got this from another forum and it worked.
