I have a 2005 equinox that started making a roaring sound like an airplane while it is going down the road .Took it to the dealer I bought it from they didn't fix the problem (but made sure they charged me for nothing ) Anyone else have this problem and if so please help ?

 

An airplane roar (which increases in pitch as the speed increases) is a typical indication of a bad wheel bearing. If so, it is possible to replace a bearing yourself, but obviously it's not an easy job like changing a headlight. The first step is figuring out which bearing is bad. If you search on YouTube you'll find videos on it.
