I am new to the forum.
I have an 08 equinox 2 and a half years ago, the car had 26,000 miles on it when the back spoiler fell off going about 25 mph. It was out of warranty so I haggled to get a new one put on and my dealer did it for $300.00 !!
Fast forward to this week and the same thing happened 17,000 miles later.
Now the dealer wants to charge me 700.
I think there is an issue with the way the spoiler is attached and i dont believe I should have to pay for the same thing twice!!!
whats your take on this!!!

 

What are you doing to it? I've never heard of this happening before. It's not held on with double-sided tape or something like that that can be pulled off. It's held on with three bolts....are they missing?

 

The spoiler bracket is not the issue . The issue is the painted part of the spoiler . It seems to just be held on with epoxy . both times it fell off she was only going 25 mph , in front of a school right by our house. thank god she was going down a major highway and maybe a motorcycle was behind her . this thing should not be coming off.
