Default charcoal canister replacement
Charcoal canister on my equinox is broken and has to be replaced. Is it difficult and tricky or I can do it by myself?

I'm not sure. We need more information. What year, engine, and AWD yes/no?

Replacing the part itself is usally pretty easy, but getting to it can be tricky.

My Equinox is 2006, 3.4 engine AWD

It looks pretty easy. The vapor canister is AC Delco part number 215-665.
