The battery on my 2018 equinox died so I had it replaced at a private garage. Now I have the check engine light with code U01B0 - Lost Communication with Battery Monitor Module. The auto stop feature is also not working. Clearing the code doesn't work, it just comes back. This didn't happen before the battery change.

Is there something that needs to be done to reset the connection after a battery change? Have read some generic comments related to that but can't find something specific. Or, does this indicate something went wrong with the battery replacement?
