My wife's 2013 equinox 2.4l ecotec. I just had the timing done, high pressure fuel pump done, throttle body cleaned, new vvt solenoid on the intake side, exhaust manifold with gaskets, and just did all new valve cover gaskets. It was driving fine besides a p2096 code for an exhaust leak still popping up. I did a hard reset (disconnected the battery for 15 min) then fired her up and went for a drive. Starts stuttering loses power and dies. Started it up again. Fires up fine idles fine. I can rev it high no problem. But as soon as I start moving I'll get into 1st sometimes Into second before it just stalls out.... Is this something to do with throttle position possibly? Does it need to be relearned?

 

Wicked smart these cars are. A scan of modules (not just OBDII) will get you pointed in the right direction for fault isolation. Anything less is speculation which can get expensive and frustrating. Good luck!
