Do you have an alarm?
#11
Final update, I went with Pacific Stereo for the install. They are a huge shop in So Cal. w/ lifetime warranty (FWIW). .I skipped the glass and proximity sensors, since I'm really more interested in someone breaking in, not just getting close/bumping into it. The Viper 3505 has 2 way comms, so if the alarm goes off and I'm anywhere near, the alarm fob goes off in my pocket/on my nightstand, I'm out the door with my GSD to see what's going on. Note the guy I talked to at PS wasn't aware of PKE systems (walk up and the car disarms for you). From what I see it's not a standard piece of tech in the aftermarket (happy to be proven wrong). The van auto alarms after 30 seconds of the last door close and key removed, so no more wondering if I alarmed it! Also the fob maintains that 2 way comms so you can see at a glance that it is armed.
