so that's 1600lbs per wheel. A contact patch of about 64 sq.in. So that's around 25 psi.

don't need 80psi unless your loaded. my 2500 rides like a lumber wagon empty so I drop to 60 front and rear.

It rides fine for me. Just the odd pail of water could use a smoother rear, but if I dropped the pressure the TPS will turn the light on and flash messages on the DIC. It's fine. The tires probably wear better with 80 PSI rather than the 50 PSI in the front.

you can have the tpm value changed with the scan tool. its a function in the tech 2 scan tool in the ebcm.....at least you could with the older gm trucks.

Oh yeah, that TPMS. Scary when it goes off. The first time was just a glitch, and the alarm stopped before I could get the van stopped. The second time was what led me to my new tires and this thread.
My ride is just fine. Actually better than the stock Bridgestones. And my TPMS says I'm 2 to 8 lbs over.

So far I don't mind it. I can keep an eye on the tire pressure without having to measure it myself. Rotating the wheels can be done at home fairly painlessly too.
It would be a pain if I ever had to buy some wheels but I don't plan on it.

I would ask how old is the "fleet". And then I'd point out that fleet service means a lot of miles.
Records indicate my van turns 3 this month, and I'm approaching 40k. Except for that momentary glitch when I first got it (at 19k) i'm liking it. I love that I can check tire pressure from the comfort of the drivers seat.

I have zero problems with the TMPS unless I mount the spare or unless I want to buy a second set of times. It's additional to buy new sensors but the TPMS has alerted me to low pressure when I was too mentally busy to pay attention to tire pressure. Like has already been stated, it's great for checking pressure from the cabin. Speaking of which, I just noticed the other day that it's time to adjust the pressure as the tires are not quite exactly even. I like to keep the pressure nearly exactly the same from wheel to wheel.
