Where to buy a 4l60e in Colorado
I need a rebuilt 4l60e or someone to rebuild mine but everywhere I've checked in Colorado wants 2300 plus. Does anyone recommend a shop in Colorado that is maybe in the 1300 plus range that has good ratings? 2007 GMC Savana AWD

I bought my 4l60E remanufactured replacement from Florida. Cost about $ 1100.00. Free shipping unless you need lift tailgate($89.00). No core return. Mines been in since 11/2/2018 with no issues. Name was Patriot Transmission and they were advertised on Amazon, but I bought direct.

get a used one from a low mileage wreck. Flush all your lines, put in new filter and drain plug.and buy a new torque converter.
Find mechanic that works on side and you can do it In a weekend for less than a grand

Why would you go to the effort of buying a pig in a polk and go to all the effort of pulling and installing an unknown transmission?

Fluid usually indicates condition of the trans. I got a world class t5 out of a Camaro that had just been rebuilt before the motor was blown.
. They do have a exchange policy and for $25 you can extend it to 6 months.
I've never had a problem out of used parts. Can smell bad or burned fluid. Feel the fluid and probably have it analyzed before buying. Fleet vehicles are always better maintained than John q public's. But if you are going to spend 3 grand or more call a few dealers to price one from factory. Will have a much better warranty than rebuild shop

Yep,most people forget about the trans fluid after the dealer service ends. Have seen them ask how to check it in a parts store.. I admit that I never put a drain plug in one till I met the 700r4. Synthetic fluid I dont know yet. Just got used to putting Ford fluid in a chevy trans. Only dealing with synthetic oil because mobile has 15w50 with zinc. Did not know that once I cleared 50 I would have to start reading so many dang labels

Oh back to subject. Monster trans may be one that's worth the money. Durable parts used and a a 7 year warranty. And looks like they've knocked $700 off the basic 4l60e $1,199 now
