2012 New to me..What to do?? Help, suggest etc
If it requires considerable oil to drain out it is hard for me to do this as I am in a condo and do not have a driveway to work in. HOA says no repairs on the property but are ok with most, just not oil draining I guess. Is that the meter gauge attached to a hose you hook up underneath near the ATrans?? Or does it go in at the Oil Pressure Switch up top the engine inside the dog house??
Also wondering if it was a pressure drop due to the bad Oring in oil pump filler tube, should i be seeing some sort of Check Engine or low oil light or some kind of code??

The first thing I would want to do would be to verify the actual oil pressure with a mechanical gauge.
Just came home with a 2012, 2500, Passenger, Chevy Express 2500 with the 4.8L Engine. The oil Press light dumps but nothing seems to be wrong so figure it is just a sensor issue? Engine was not missing a beat nor smelling bad or anything when the gauge dropped down and chimed at me. Oil still full, don't see any issues thank gosh. Wondering the age old questions of what would be best at 55k miles oil wise, Valvoline restore Full Synth or the high Millage Blend? What to do?? Any suggestions? Any tips? This will be the first thing I attend to after Hitting the Zerk Points with Red Tacky Lube and maybe putting silicon on the rubber boots etc.
Thanks all,
Much appreciated..
