Thanks…Yes, both keys have the +. I have them both with me so, I’ll use the other for the rest of our trip.
Do you know if a dealer can cut a new key just using the VIN?

A dealer about an hour from us has keys and will make a new one for $65... Will be doing that Thursday. Since this is intermittent, no telling how long I'll have to wait to know if it solves this issue. On a plus side, the service mgr is convinced they can identify the issue so we're scheduling a visit in early Oct on our way back home....
