Can anyone please tell me where to purchase the two light bulbs for the heat A/C controls. The dealership claims that they can not be replaced and wants to sell me an entire control unit. I found that they are just a quarter turn unscrew. I just can't seem to locate new ones.

Worst case, junkyard, 2003-up dash appears to have no changes.

I would bring a picture of mine in with me though, I did find that the 97-01 dash face is different from 2002 (radio opening changes) so it's possible there's minor differences.

 

 

I can't judge the scale from your photo very well, but they are the same shape as a standard #194 bulb.

 

Did you have to pull the whole black part of dash off? As mountainmanjoe said #194 bulb. Used in a lot of things with special sockets.

 

194 bulbs seem too big. I’ve replaced these in Ford vehicles and they look the same - they look like smaller versions of the 194. Some of mine went out and I was thinking of replacing them with LEDs but I haven’t torn it apart yet.

 

Try search for this bulb. Pic looks close: "Dorman 639-026 HVAC Control Unit Bulb", the black base one looks like a PC74.
