I bought this from Carvana and I've had a lot of suspicions about it. One of the things that intrigues me the most is underneath the frame very close to the edge of the vehicle almost directly under the driver side door (foot back) there is a pretty large aluminum box and it just has a label that says "HIGH VOLTAGE"
It's obviously aftermarket but I can't imagine for what? The only thing I can personally see that they did aftermarket was add a towing hitch and I guess what looks like a transmission cooler.
Anybody have any idea because I don't see anything mounted inside the vehicle that would control it and basic Google results just says it could have a battery in it. Mounted to exterior of box

That is in a similar location to where the diesel 2nd battery goes, but doesn't look big enough to be a battery. Maybe someone put a 120VAC inverter in there?
Interesting. I'm guessing you haven't opened it up to look inside yet.
Are there any wires coming up through the floor? I would also pull the rear mat and see if there are holes from some equipment bolted to the floor.
My guess would be that it's some sort of power converter to take 110v shore, or generator, power and convert it to 220V for a piece of equipment that was mounted in the van. Something like a carpet cleaner, pressure washer, blower or big air compressor. It's kind of small for a 12v to 110v inverter unless it's a small one that had to be mounted outside for safety code reasons in a particular industry.
I haven't opened it up because that gigantic danger high-voltage is kind of scaring me a little bit! LOL. I mean normally stuff like that doesn't bother me but because it's a mysterious unknown object...
You must always be on your guard against over-caution. <g>
Any "high voltage" isn't spontaneous - just pull the negative cable off the battery.
Still; just to be on the safe side - don't lick any of the wires you find. <g>
Yes;

Can clay soil pipe line be roto-rooted out? To clear roots and so forth? Installed in 1922.
And if so; if you were doing that would you be able to tell if the pipe was broken or slightly collapsed?

Yes, YES, finally, someone who knows what they are talking about! I'm very impressed how you were able to figure out the correlation between my question and snaking out clay pipes! Very few have the ability to decipher my intricate code words as you have done! Job well done sir, job well done!
Ooooooook, humor aside, yes you can try to snake em, but in most cases it's the most difficult pipe there is to deal with and unless somebody knows what they are doing, which nobody does in today's world, you're probably not going to accomplish much.

I've got to agree with this. Don't lick anything under there.
Seriously though. I don't see how there could be any dangerous power going through there either way. Remove a battery cable just to be sure and go for it.

Yep! I KNEW it!!! As soon as I tried to tinker with it, I heard it clear as a bell! A ticking sound, that of which you would hear on a time bomb!
Oooook, I guess I'll get down there and take it apart, sooner or later...
